When my partner and I decided on a doula we had three goals in mind: 1) emotional reassurance and support, 2) someone to minimize the potential misgendering that happens in childbirth, and 3) someone who be there in case my partner needed to step out due to his medical trauma - and Cabot was just that doula.

Cabot is warm, knowledgeable, and professional. At points in our journey I found myself forgetting this was a service and not just a very supportive friend along for the ride, which I think is often the mark of someone who does this sort of work well.

Cabot was always available for questions and unafraid to do additional research if they didn't immediately know the answer.

They prepared me for what to expect for my induction and gave me a realistic timeline, which helped me get in the right mindset. Cabot helped with positions, kept me distracted, listened to me info dump during my labor, and worked in tandem with my partner, mother, and hospital staff. The moment I needed them they arrived at the hospital and stayed until well after my baby was born.

I’d highly recommend their knowledge, kindness, and dedication to any family looking for a doula.
